Sam Kelly is a bone sculptor and jeweller who works from her home studio in Ngāmotu.

Her remarkable works are strongly influenced by movement and form.

Sam approaches her practice in a captivating and demanding manner by meticulously preparing bone, cutting, sanding, reshaping and joining angled sections of cow bone into intricated freestanding tangles of bone.

Sam was the winner of the RT Nelson National Sculpture Award, and her works are held in both public and private collections throughout the country.
