Taranaki based Jolene McCartan creates hand-built ceramic creatures for weirdo!

Jolene creates anthropomorphic clay objects that are reminiscent of the magical vessels and figurines, that have existed in various cultures across the globe since ancient times. Her hand-built clay forms are often embellished with textiles and other decorations, giving them a lively and enchanted appearance, much like these excellent wee little swamp guardians.
